ON- LEASH BOARD & TRAIN PROGRAM (2 WEEKS)
ON- LEASH BOARD & TRAIN PROGRAM (2 WEEKS)
Foundation Training: The trainer starts by establishing a strong foundation of basic obedience commands. This includes commands like sit, stay, down, come, heel, and leash manners. The dog learns to respond reliably to these commands while remaining on a leash.
Behavior Modification and Problem Solving: If the dog exhibits any specific behavior problems, such as jumping, barking, or leash pulling, the trainer addresses these issues during the program. Techniques like positive reinforcement, redirection, and desensitization are used to modify and improve the dog's behavior.
Socialization: Socialization plays a crucial role in a dog's overall development and behavior. The trainer ensures the dog is exposed to various environments, people, and other dogs in controlled and positive settings. This helps the dog become comfortable and well-adjusted in different social situations.
Distraction Training: The trainer gradually increases the level of distractions to improve the dog's focus and obedience in challenging environments. The dog learns to obey commands even in the presence of distractions such as other animals, loud noises, or busy public spaces.
Owner Education and Transfer of Skills: Throughout the program, the trainer keeps the owner informed of the dog's progress through regular updates and communication. Towards the end of the program, the owner participates in training sessions with the trainer to learn the techniques used and to practice commands and handling skills with the dog.
Graduation and Follow-Up: Once the training program is completed, the dog owner and trainer have a final meeting where the owner receives detailed instructions on how to maintain and reinforce the dog's newly acquired skills at home. The trainer may also provide a follow-up plan or additional training sessions if needed.
It's important to note that the success of the program relies on the trainer's expertise, the dog's temperament, and the owner's commitment to continuing the training methods at home. Regular practice, reinforcement, and consistency from the owner are vital to ensure long-term obedience and behavioral improvements in the dog.
