A Day In Our Board & Train
Each morning, your dog will kickstart their day with a refreshing walk, providing exercise and an opportunity for a bathroom break. Afterward, they will enjoy a satisfying breakfast during first training session of the day. Once the training session concludes, they will have some downtime to relax in their doggy bed or crate depends on the dog.
In the middle of the day, excitement awaits! If your dog is sociable, they will participate in a social session with other friendly dogs in day camp. If not, they will engage in an additional walk, a brief training session, or enjoy a run on the treadmill. Lunchtime follows, and then they can rest while observing other dogs undergoing training.
Next, it's time for another productive training session, followed by another invigorating treadmill run or an agility session to keep their energy levels up. As the day progresses, they will engage in a training session during dinner time, gradually winding down.
Before bedtime, a final potty break ensures their comfort, and then they settle in for a restful night's sleep.

USA: Statistics on Dog Ownership
As of January 2022, I can provide some general statistics and trends related to dog surrender and euthanasia in the United States. Please note that these numbers may have changed since then, and for the most up-to-date statistics, it's advisable to consult the latest reports from organizations such as the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), the Humane Society of the United States, and local animal shelters. These statistics can also vary from year to year and from one region to another. Here are some key points to consider:
Surrender Statistics:
The most common reasons for dog surrender include issues related to behavioral problems, economic hardship, and housing or landlord restrictions.
Many animal shelters offer surrender prevention programs and resources to help owners keep their pets by addressing these common surrender issues.
Euthanasia Statistics:
Euthanasia rates have generally been decreasing in recent years due to increased awareness of spaying and neutering, improved adoption and rescue efforts, and the implementation of no-kill policies by many shelters.
The percentage of dogs euthanized varies by location and organization. Some areas have achieved "no-kill" status, which means that they save and rehome a high percentage of the dogs they take in.
Adoption and Rescue Statistics:
The number of dogs adopted from shelters and rescue organizations has been on the rise, reflecting a positive trend in rehoming and providing forever homes for dogs.
Spaying and Neutering Efforts:
Spaying and neutering campaigns have contributed to a decrease in the number of unwanted litters, helping to reduce the population of dogs in shelters.
Breed-Specific Trends:
Some breeds, particularly pit bulls and pit bull mixes, have historically been overrepresented in shelters. Efforts to combat breed-specific discrimination and promote responsible ownership have been ongoing.
Local Variations:
Statistics can vary significantly from one city, county, or state to another, depending on local policies, resources, and cultural factors.
To get the most current and specific data on dog surrender and euthanasia rates, it's best to consult the relevant animal welfare organizations and local animal shelters, as they often publish annual reports that provide detailed statistics for their respective areas. Additionally, public awareness and advocacy for responsible pet ownership, spaying/neutering, and adoption play a significant role in shaping these statistics and trends.
